About This Artwork

When things get intense, I become very calm

I've always been told that there is a "Fight, Flight, or Freeze" response when we face danger. I've never actually heard of a "Smile, wave, and negotiate" response.

On multiple occasions I've had to talk, smile, and negotiate my way out of a dangerous or uncertain situation. Surprisingly many of those situations have ended up for the better. I'm still safe, and so are friends and loved ones after the fact.

What doesn't kill us makes us stronger. I think so do surprises and facing unpredictable events with a smile.
