Giant Manta Ray
The largest animal in the deck so far, on the 4 of Hearts. The Giant Manta Ray glides through Florida's Atlantic waters, and juveniles turn up close to shore off southeast Florida.
Fun facts
-
It is the largest ray in the world, with a wingspan that can reach about 7 metres (23 feet).
-
Despite its size it eats plankton, filtering it from the water and steering it in with two fins that unroll beside its mouth.
-
It has one of the largest brains, for its body size, of any fish.
